WBC/CBS has been approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the Maryland Higher Education Commission, so that eligible veterans, servicepersons, and certain dependents of veterans can receive VA educational benefits while attending WBC/CBS. Federal Programs
Eligible persons may receive benefits under one of several types of GI Bill, which would be approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs:
- Chapter 30 - Montgomery GI Bill
- Chapter 31 - Disabled Veterans Vocational Rehabilitation Program.
- Chapter 32 - Veterans Educational Assistance Program (VEAP)
- Chapter 33 - Post 9/11 GI BILL *Changes effective August 1, 2011. Click here for information.
- Chapter 35 - Dependents Educational Assistance Program
- Chapter 1606 - Montgomery GI Bill/Selected Reserve Educational Assistance Program.
- Chapter 1607 - Reserve Educational Assistance Program (REAP)
For more information, go to www.gibill.va.gov. Applicants or students will need to send a copy of their Certificate of Eligibility (COE) to the WBC/CBS Financial Aid Office. The COE can be sent by email or fax (240-387-1351) to the attention of Nicky Sefiane, VA Certifying Official.
WBC/CBS Military Special Tuition Price
WBC/CBS is proud to offer a special tuition price to those who are currently serving our country in any branch of the military as Active Duty, Reservist, or National Guard. Students approved will only be charged the reduced tuition rate of $250 per credit hour to minimize the out of pocket cost. NOTE: If you receive military or veterans education benefits, please remember that you can still apply for other federal and state financial aid programs. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to see what you qualify for in federal & state aid. Maryland state residents should complete their FAFSA by March 1, to be eligible for Maryland state grants & scholarships.
